The city of Leeds has the fastest scaleup growth in the north of England, with its digital sector employing more than 100,000 people and contributing £6.5 billion to the City Region economy. We know that Leeds is a thriving digital hub, and we want to continue to spread the word about digital in Leeds and grow a diverse and vibrant talent pipeline, with a focus to Inform, Include and Inspire people.
Following the success of the inaugural Leeds Digital Careers Fair (LDCF), Leeds City Council, Employment & Skills will once again be hosting the careers and recruitment event, as part of our Future Talent Plan, and we would love you to be involved. We are inviting employers and training providers with digital technology opportunities to exhibit at the LDCF event this September and showcase opportunities to people who want to learn more about a career in digital. There are opportunities to participate as an Exhibitor and / or sponsor and you can book your space via the LDCF exhibitor booking form.
Join LDCF as an exhibitor at this not-for-profit event and help us to open the door into digital opportunities, inspiring more people to take up a career within digital and tech. LDCF will attract a diverse range of people to learn more about the vast and exciting range of digital opportunities within Leeds. Aimed at those new to the digital sector, eager to find a job or training opportunities in the wide range of digital technology organisations which the city has to offer, this will be a chance to meet new talent to help fill current vacancies, spot talent for future opportunities and encourage people to enrol on upcoming training courses. This year's event will aim to focus on ‘inform’ ‘include’ and ‘inspire’ as 3 key pillars which will run throughout the fair, with plans for more interactive elements to the event.
Whilst also helping to spread the word about what Leeds digital tech organisations have to offer, we want to help employers recruit a diverse workforce and will be aiming to attract a diverse range of visitors to the recruitment event. LDCF will be promoted to secondary schools, local colleges and universities with students invited to attend; as well as targeting people already in work who are exploring the range of opportunities reskilling will bring. This will be a great opportunity to attract new talent.
