Topic: "AI, Ain't I a Woman?" Exploring AI Bias

This session will explore gender, racial and other forms of bias which have been identified by researchers working with artificial intelligence.

Together with exploring the ways AI can be used to 'level the playing field', this session will also highlight how AI bias can exacerbate existing inequalities when it is used to undertake certain tasks.

This is an excellent opportunity to learn about bias and participate in wider conversation around ethical best practice which centres the impact of AI on marginalised groups when integrating and developing AI.
